Addison
2014
This family-owned restaurant, with its roots in Chicago since the 1970s, has been a staple in Addison, IL, for over a decade. Owned by the son of the original location’s founders, alongside his wife and her brother, the restaurant brings regional South American recipes to their community. While inspired by the original restaurant, the Addison location offers a unique menu and atmosphere, positioning itself as a family-friendly destination for both newcomers and return customers alike.

Summary
Overview
The goal of the website, menu, and promotional materials was to boost reservations, increase online orders, and highlight unique offerings and events. KAKE’s design focused on the restaurant’s use of high-quality ingredients and regional recipes, while clearly distinguishing the Addison location from the original restaurant.
Challenge
Despite sharing a similar name and logo, the main design challenges were differentiating the Addison location from the original Chicago restaurant, and attracting local diners in an area with a small South American population. The goal was to reach new customers while retaining loyal ones.
Solution
To distinguish the Addison location from the Chicago restaurant and drive more business, we focused on showcasing their unique menu items. We scheduled regular food and interior photo shoots to provide fresh content for social media, linking all posts back to their website. Customers can easily place orders through the custom booking platform or make reservations via the integrated system. We ensured design consistency across print, web, and social media by using a cohesive color palette, typography, and a consistent photo backdrop. This approach created a welcoming visual identity that highlights the restaurant’s high-quality, traditional meets fusion South American cuisine.
